Across Canada, 255 bowling alleys are taking part in the first ever ‘Turkey Bowl’ this Family Day weekend.

Bowl Canada and Turkey Farmers of Canada are collaborating to give Canadians the chance to win cash prizes if they bowl three strikes in a row, or a turkey.

Paul Oliveira, Executive Director at Bowl Canada, says once participants bowl a turkey, all they have to do is post a picture of the scoreboard with the tag @Canadian Turkey, and the hashtag Think Turkey.

The first 250 people to do that will win a $50 gift card, and anyone who uploads a picture will be put into a draw to win one of 10 $500 grand prizes for a shopping spree.

Oliveira says there is a commonality between Bowl Canada and Turkey Farmers of Canada, and that is turkeys and bowling both bring family together.

Both Eastview Bowl and Fairhaven Bowl are taking part in the event.
