A Regina man was in Regina Provincial Court Tuesday morning for breaching his probation order which included a court ordered condition not to be in proximity of youth under 16 years of age.

Last Thursday an unknown man was reportedly seen at Miller Catholic High School on College Avenue in Regina shortly after 7:30 in the morning speaking with students.

About an hour later an unknown man entered Balfour Collegiate, a public high school, a couple blocks away on College Avenue and was speaking with students at that school. He was ushered off school grounds by staff. The incident was reported, and the Regina Police Service Resource officers began an investigation.

Around 11:15 a.m. police responded to a call involving a man causing disturbances at two businesses on Broadway Avenue, which is behind the two high school properties, and he had allegedly tried to shoplift from one of the businesses.

He had left when police arrived, but officers were able to identify a suspect as 34-year-old Cyril Osagyey Eguakun. He was arrested at a Regina home on Friday and the investigation then allegedly linked Eguakun to the incidents at the two high schools.

The 34-year-old is now charged with two counts of Fail To Comply With Prohibition Order Regarding Children and four counts of Fail To Comply With Probation Order.
