On February 17th, Beauval RCMP conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with people believed to be involved in an ongoing drug investigation.
Once the suspects identities were confirmed, both 41-year-old Kim Wolverine and her 41-year-old male passenger, Frankie Bouvier were immediately arrested. The vehicle was searched, and RCMP officers found 123 grams of crack cocaine.
A failed roadside breath sample from the driver resulted in the vehicle being towed and impounded. The pair were charged with one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, and Wolverine faces an additional charge of impaired operation exceeding 80 milligrams while operating a motor vehicle.
Both Wolverine and Bouvier are scheduled to make their first court appearance on March 15, 2023, in Beauval.
