It took 10 months, but most of the $100,000 worth of Wayne Greztky sports memorabilia (pictured and below) stolen from a Shellbrook home has been recovered and returned to its rightful owner while the suspected thief has been arrested.

Shellbrook RCMP apprehended 41-year-old Derek Herzog following a search of a home on the 400 block of 2nd Avenue East in Shellbrook where most of the missing items were found.

The investigation started in April, 2022 when police were informed of the stolen Gretzky memorabilia, which occured between November, 2021 and March, 2022. Herzog’s first appearance in court is scheduled for April 4 in Shellbrook.
