There was more of a positive reaction to the Premier’s visit with deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland yesterday (Tues) than with the Prime Minister.
Earlier this month, Moe met with Prime Minister Trudeau to discuss the federal election results that saw Saskatchewan and Alberta reject the federal liberals completely, opening talk of western separatism.
The carbon tax was again discussed. Moe says it has had a major impact on agriculture. He says he asked for grain drying and aeration fans to be exempt.
Freeland also met with Mayor Michael Fougere.
Fougere says he went over his thoughts on western alienation, oil and gas, exports, and climate change.
