The 2023 Tim Horton’s Brier, Canadian Men’s Curling Championship, continues today and runs through Sunday, March 12th in London, Ontario. There are 18 teams taking part, consisting of 14 provincial and territorial titleists, three wild card teams and the defending champion Brad Gushue foursome. The field is split into two pools of nine teams each for preliminary round-robin play. The top three teams advance to the playoffs. Saskatchewan will be represented by the Kelly Knapp quartet from Regina. They are in Pool A. On their schedule today…

The 2023 Canada Winter Games continue competition today and run through tomorrow in Prince Edward Island. The Games feature 20 sports and about 3,600 athletes from all 13 of Canada’s provinces and territories. Saskatchewan has 317 participants, including 217 athletes, from 60 different communities in the province. Saskatchewan has 19 total medals…three gold, seven silver and nine bronze medals after 14 days of action. Second half sports continue today and are alpine and para alpine skiing, archery, badminton, boxing, cross country and para Nordic skiing, men’s and mixed doubles curling, fencing, figure skating, women’s hockey, judo and snowboarding.
