Métis Nation Saskatchewan has met with the NDP to discuss their opposition of the Saskatchewan First Act and the lack of a meaningful, engaging, consultative approach with MN-S on lands and resource development. They say the Saskatchewan First Act does nothing to advance Indigenous rights and reinforces an unconstitutional consultation policy, which continues to minimize Métis voices.

MN-S has produced a policy paper that outlines a path forward that is inclusive of Métis voices in all aspects of natural resource development. This plan has been shared with both the New Democratic Party of Saskatchewan and the governing Saskatchewan Party.
