Thirteen (13) different University of Saskatchewan (USask) research teams have received nearly $130,000 in funding from the Saskatchewan Health Research Foundation (S-H-R-F) to help with on-going projects.

Most notable of these projects is the creation of a mobile app that can improve the delivery of tailored information and patient stories for the benefit of kidney transplant patients in Saskatchewan. The inter-disciplinary team of Dr. Holly Mansell from the College of Pharmacy and Nutrition and Dr. Nathaniel Osgood from the Department of Computer Science in the College of Arts and Science received $10,000 from S-H-R-F. They developed the app with the help of other USask colleagues, the Saskatchewan Health Authority and Saskatchewan patients.
