The Saskatoon Police Service says a 21-year-old man was in court Wednesday morning facing firearms related charges.
The Guns and Gangs Unit says it received information on Tuesday that a man was unlawfully in possession of a firearm, in the 1700 block of 20th Street West.
Around 10 p.m. that night, as a result of the investigation, a 21-year-old man was arrested just outside of an area home and a search warrant was executed. Police say their officers seized a loaded shotgun and ammunition.
A 19-year-old woman was also arrested from the residence on unrelated warrants. The 21-year-old man faces charges of possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, unsafe storage, and breach of conditions.
