Pulling over a suspicious vehicle on Tuesday resulted in a major drug and weapons discovery in North Battleford.
RCMP say the driver who didn’t have identification also game a false name leading officers to search the vehicle which they believed to be involved in drug trafficking.
The traffic stop led to a subsequent search of a 102nd Street residence where police say they found a significant amount of crystal meth, cocaine, cash, prescription drugs, packaging materials, several hundred rounds of ammunition and a firearm.
Six adults and two youths were arrested with charges laid against three of the adults.
37-year-old Shannon Soosay of Alberta’s Samson First Nation and 66-year-old Micheal Dwinnell of North Battleford face drug trafficking and weapons offenses.
38-year-old Dennis Starchief of North Battleford is also charged with trafficking and breaching terms of his court release.
