The Prince Albert Police Service says its Proactive Policing Unit has laid charges in a mail theft investigation.
Thirty-year-old Jarret Sauve from Prince Albert was arrested on March 10th outside of a home in the 300 block of 6th Street East.
The police investigation uncovered 26 different pieces of mail belonging to various residents and businesses.
Police say the addresses on the mail corresponded to several locations in Prince Albert that had earlier reports of damaged mailboxes.
The investigation continues but, in the meantime, Sauve is charged with possession of stolen mail, possession of break in tools, and possession of a controlled substance.
