The Alberta RCMP Explosives Disposal Unit gathered up and disposed of 154 sticks of dynamite, about 50 electric detonators, and a full roll of B-Line detonating cord at a rural property last week. The owner retired from the construction industry and later passed away. RCMP say they recover a substantial amount of commercial explosives every year because, under historic rules, Albertans had easy access to commercial explosives.
