A 15-year-old male has been arrested following an incident Thursday night involving an imitation firearm on 22nd Street West in Saskatoon.

At about 11 p.m. on March 16, Saskatoon Police Service officers were called to the area of 22nd Street West and Avenue I North after a delivery driver was threatened with a firearm when he confronted a man breaking into his car. The suspect and victim became involved in a brief exchange before the suspect fled on foot. The victim was not physically injured. The responding police officers located and arrested the suspect a short distance away with an imitation firearm found discarded in the snow nearby. The 15-year-old suspect is charged with pointing a firearm, unauthorized carry of a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace and assault with a weapon.
