The Saskatoon Police Service is reporting that a less lethal weapon was used by officers on Wednesday, after a report of a person pointing a firearm at someone. Around 5:40 yesterday (Wed) afternoon, officers responded to the 200 block of Avenue G South, and then police say that when officers arrived and made contact with those inside, there was a struggle at the door. Due to the possible presence of firearms inside, a less lethal round was used on the resisting male. He wasn’t seriously injured and refused any medical attention.
Several people were detained for further investigation. Following a search, police report seizing an inoperable sawed-off rifle inside the home. Two men were later found to be wanted on outstanding warrants and were arrested. No other charges were laid.
