Esterhazy RCMP officer were alerted about a four-vehicle accident on Highway 16 Friday morning, about three kilometres east of Langenburg.

The Saskatoon Media Group Newsroom reported a serious accident Friday around 10 a.m.  The conditions were foggy at the time and near zero visibility was being reported that morning on the east side of the province.

The driver of one of the two pickup trucks involved, a 59-year-old man from Regina, was declared deceased at the scene. Along with the pickup trucks, the accident also included an SUV and a semi.

RCMP say the drivers of the rest of the vehicles were taken to hospital for injuries described as non-life threatening. Esterhazy RCMP with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist continue to investigate.

Langenburg is 72 kilometres southeast of Yorkton.
