A recall is in effect for scooters sold at Costco as well as other retailers. The recall is for Jetson Nova and Star 3-Wheel Scooters. The affected models and serial numbers are below.
The company has determined that one of the front wheels on the Jetson Nova and Star can detach due to the loosening of a bolt that secures the wheel, creating a fall hazard.
As of March 23, 2023, Jetson has received multiple incidents of detached wheels, one resulting in a fall causing a minor injury.
Consumers should immediately discontinue use of the item and do not use the scooter until a repair has been made to your item. You may contact Jetson Electric Bikes to request a free repair to eliminate the wheel detachment issue. The repair kit consists of necessary hardware and instructions to perform the repair.
