On Wednesday, the Prince Albert Police Service Crime Reduction Team located a man wanted on several outstanding warrants from Prince Albert, Southend and Alberta, including a charge of attempted murder from an incident in Prince Albert. On December 27th, officers responded to the Victoria Hospital where a 46-year-old man was suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Thirty-one-year-old Germaine Michel of Prince Albert was arrested following a short foot pursuit in the 2800 block of Dunn Drive on Wednesday. Police say a live round of ammunition and a loaded .22 calibre rifle were seized. Separate from his warrants, Michel is now facing numerous additional firearms-related charges, two counts of resisting a peace officer and breach of a court-order probation order.
