NASA and the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) will announce during an event at 9 a.m. Monday morning the four astronauts who will venture around the moon.
The announcement is being made from NASA Johnson Space Center’s Ellington Field in Houston
A Canadian astronaut will be part of Artemis II, the first crewed mission to the Moon since 1972. This mission, planned to launch no later than May 2024, would make Canada the second country to have an astronaut fly around the Moon.
The Canadian government says the Moon represents a crucial stepping stone in humanity’s quest to travel onwards to Mars.
