SARS-CoV-2 viral RNA load in Saskatoon’s wastewater has increased by 134.2 per cent in the latest reporting period.  Researchers at the University of Saskatchewan say it is the seventh highest viral load observed during the pandemic in Saskatoon.

This is based on averages of 3 individual daily measurements which are compared to the weekly average of the previous weeks.

Viral RNA load in Prince Albert’s wastewater has decreased by 7.4 per cent. In North Battleford it has increased by 41.2 per cent.

The COVID-19 in wastewater in Saskatoon is now considered high while it is at medium for the other two communities. All three cities have some sub-variant of Omicron.
