On Tuesday just after 2:00pm, police say a man physically confronted a group of officers, resulting in a Conducted Energy Weapon to be deployed.

As an arrest of a man in the 400 block of Fairmont Drive was taking place, police say a second, 37-year-old man approached and assaulted two officers and attempted to disarm a third. The CEW was deployed, and the man was taken into custody. Charges are currently pending, and the deployment of the CEW is being reviewed in accordance with Saskatoon Police Service policy.
