A 64-year-old man from Christopher Lake has been charged with first degree murder in connection with a vehicle/pedestrian collision outside a business in Northside on Tuesday evening—about 35 kilometres north of Prince Albert.
Reginald Durocher made his first court appearance on Thursday morning in Prince Albert. Thirty-four-year old Ryan David Clark of Paddockwood was killed in the collision which was captured on nearby store surveillance cameras.
The two men knew each other. Clark had been charged with the death of Durchocher’s son, Christopher in late 2016.
A Court of King’s Bench Jury in Prince Albert found Clark guilty of second-degree murder. Clark made multiple pleas and the Supreme Court ruled in late 2022 that the judge erred when instructing the jury. A new trial was ordered but the date had not been set.
