It’s playoff day as the College Clean Restoration Curling Classic wraps up at the Nutana Curling Club.
Saskatoon teams skipped by Bruce Korte and Jason Jacobson are among the eight remaining foursomes resuming play at 9 a.m. Korte qualified through the “A” event on Saturday along with Mike McEwen’s Winnipeg quartet. Jacobson’s squad was one of four to get a share of the $24,200 purse when they downed Todd Birr’s American team 6-2 in last night’s “C” event qualifiers. Also getting in last night were teams skipped by Jeremy Harty of Calgary, Qiang Zou of China and Jim Cotter of Kelowna. The “B” event qualifiers were teams skipped by Glen Muirhead of Scotland and Jason Gunnlaugson of Winnipeg. The semi-finals are at noon and the final at 3:30. The winning foursome collects $6,000.
