Nature Saskatchewan and the Provincial Capital Commission are inviting everyone to celebrate spring this weekend. The Indigenous Celebration outdoor event is at Wascana Place on Saturday.
Minister Responsible for the PCC and First Nations, Metis, and Northern Affairs, Don McMorris says, “This event is a great occasion to honour and learn about the unique heritage, diverse cultures and exceptional contributions of First Nation and Metis people.” There is quill working, a mini pow wow, Eldert storytelling and Indigenous games and Metis art. You need to pre-register for the Saturday afternoon sessions, by clicking here. This is in preparation for the annual First Nations University of Canada Spring Celebration Pow Wow April 22nd and 23rd.
