Saskatoon Police have arrested two youth in connection to the investigation of a theft from a business and reports of threats with a weapon. Around 7:30 Thursday night, police were approached by a Loss Prevention Officer in the 300 block of Confederation Drive, who reported having just been threatened with a machete after catching two boys stealing from a business. The LPO wasn’t injured and the two teens fled with the stolen merchandise.

Police report that minutes later, both boys were found nearby at a bus terminal and were arrested following a brief verbal confrontation with officers. It was reported that a machete was seized during a search of the teens. Two boys, 15 and 16 years old, are charged with possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace, unauthorized carry of a concealed weapon and robbery.
