Data from Statistics Canada indicates that Saskatchewan is experiencing year-over-year growth in manufacturing sales, with an increase of just over 10 per cent, seasonally adjusted, in February of this year compared to the same month last year. The total sales for the month was around $2 billion. However, from January to February manufacturing sales were down by 9.9 per cent.
In Saskatoon and area, year over year, manufacturing sales were up just over 24 per cent, the highest of all the cities. Regina and area experienced an increase of 13 per cent in that same time period.
