Saskatoon Police service says the mother of a 13-year-old girl went to Police Headquarters to report the sexual assault of her daughter.

This was on March 12th and the sexual assault is alleged to have occurred the day before on March 11 in the 200 block of Avenue M South.

Police have charged a 69-year-old man with Sexual assault. He was arrested yesterday at Saskatoon Police Service Headquarters.

He was released on a recognizance order to then make his first court appearance on May 24th.
