Battleford RCMP are looking for three people in connection to an investigation into a violent assault and the death of 22-year-old Quin Squair of Wilkie.

Last Tuesday, April 18th, officers were alerted of an assault at a home on the Saulteaux First Nation, and when they arrived, found Squair with serious injuries. He was transported to hospital in Saskatoon by EMS. The next day, investigators were told he wouldn’t survive and Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes then took charge of the investigation. Squair died last Saturday.

Five people have been charged with second degree murder. Twenty-six-year-old Riley Gopher and a 17-year-old from the Saulteaux First Nation are also facing a robbery charge. They were arrested that same day. The youth has two other charges – disguise with intent and unlawful confinement.

RCMP are looking for three others: 31-year-old Alex Gopher from Sweetgrass First Nation, 22-year-old Wionna Katcheech from Saulteaux First Nation and 21-year-old Colton Swiftwolfe of Moosomin First Nation. Katcheech is also charged with unlawful confinement and Swiftwolfe is also charged with robbery.

Wionna Katcheech is described as having long brown hair and eyes. She 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing approximately 161 pounds. Alex Gopher is described as having short brown hair and eyes. He is 6 feet tall, weighing approximately 220 pounds. Colton Swiftwolfe is described as having short brown hair and eyes. He is 5 feet 7 inches, weighing approximately 150 pounds.

If you see these three, police urge to call 911 immediately and don’t approach them. If you know where they may be, you can contact the police or leave an anonymous tip through Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers. The investigation is ongoing.
