After human remains were found in a wooded area in the RM of Buckland on Sunday, the Prince Albert RCMP says an identification has been made. Forty-one year old Joanne Highway was reported missing on December 9th and was last seen on Wahpeton Dakota Nation on November 24th. RCMP report the investigation into her death is ongoing with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service.

Pending final results of the autopsy and toxicology, the preliminary indication is that no foul play is suspected. Victim services have been made available to Joanne Highway’s family.
