Regina Police Service says they have arrested a 65 year-old man who is now facing new charges after an investigation into allegations of the sexual assault of a young person.
In July 2022, Regina Police Service issued a news release naming Edwin Dwight Woolhether as being charged and after issuing that release police then received information connected to a 2007 sexual assault of a child.
Woolhether was arrested on Wednesday, after an investigation based on the new information and is charged with Sexual Assault of a Minor and Sexual Interference.
Regina Police Service believes there are potentially other victims who have not yet reported to police and can do so by contacting Regina Police Service, your local law enforcement agency or Crime Stoppers.
