Phase two of the province’s commitment to add 150 addictions treatment spaces has begun. Mental Health and Addictions Minister Everett Hindley has announced 12 more post-treatment beds will be opening at St. Joseph’s Addiction Recovery Centre in Estevan. They are for people who have completed treatment and need follow up support.
With this addition, the Recovery Centre will have 32 post-treatment beds in addition to their 32 inpatient beds and four pre-treatment beds. In total across the province, the government is funding 547 pre-treatment, withdrawal management/detox, treatment, and post-treatment spaces operated by the Saskatchewan Health Authority and third-party partners.
