Two men are facing charges in connection to the Saskatoon Police investigation of a shooting on April 28th. Around 11 that morning, officers were called to the 1500 block of 20th Street West following several reports of a shooting and found a woman with a gunshot wound, who was transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Then last Wednesday evening, the Serious Assault, Guns and Gangs, Tactical Support and Canine Units along with Patrol executed a search warrant at a home in the 200 block of Avenue S South.
Two men, 26 and 21, exited the home without incident and were taken into custody. Police say two loaded, sawed-off shotguns, ammunition and body armour were seized and 15 grams of meth. The 21 year old has eight firearms-related charges as well as aggravated assault. The 26 year old is also charged with aggravated assault and has one firearms offence. Further charges are expected.
