A 29-year-old man faces arson charges in connection to 29 fires over a nine-day span in Saskatoon a couple of months ago.
Between February 20 and March 1, the separate fires occurred mostly in the north end of the city. Saskatoon Police Service General Investigations Section says the fires consisted of garbage and/or recycling bins being set on fire and left to burn.
The police are thankful that community members reported the fires in a timely manner, which prevented anyone from being injured and property from being damaged further. Anyone with information about suspicious fires around the city is asked to contact Saskatoon Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
