The City of Saskatoon has awarded new contracts for both the Animal Control and Dangerous Animals Bylaw Enforcement and for Poundkeeping Services to the Saskatoon Animal Control Agency. The Saskatoon SPCA’s contract for poundkeeping ends after December 31st. The City says to ensure due diligence, after consulting with stakeholders, they issued a Request For Proposals for 2024 and beyond.
The Agency will operate poundkeeping services at the same City of Saskatoon-owned facility on Clarence Avenue South as before, which is the same address as the Saskatoon SPCA. The City thanks the Saskatoon SPCA for its many years of poundkeeping services and for its contributions to the community and the welfare of animals in Saskatoon.
