Late Sunday night just before midnight, Maidstone RCMP responded to an attempted armed robbery with a firearm at a home in that community. Police were told two males wearing ski masks and a female were demanding money, and when they left one of the suspects shot a gun in the air. Officers found a vehicle matching the description of the one that left the home. It had been reported stolen from North Battleford earlier on Sunday.

The grey 2006 Ford F-350 Super Duty, Saskatchewan License Plate 720 KBF, fled and police pursued but it got away. Anyone with information on the vehicle or the incident is asked to contact the RCMP. From preliminary information, RCMP believe this was an isolated incident.
