A Saskatchewan company has been fined $45,000 for violating Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.
The Government of Saskatchewan says Epic Contracting Limited pleaded guilty in Saskatoon Provincial Court to a one violation for contravening one of the O-H&S regulations which involves an employer failing to ensure a portable ladder is secured against accidental movement during use.
Two other charges were stayed. The charges stemmed from an incident that occurred on June 28, 2021, in Saskatoon when a worker suffered serious injuries jumping from an unsecured portable extension ladder.
