Ford is walking back the company’s decision not to install A-M radios in new vehicles.
Ford C-E-O Jim Farley says the decision comes after U-S government policy leaders voiced concerns about keeping emergency alerts that often are sounded on A-M radio stations.
Farley wrote in a social media post that Ford will keep A-M radios in all 2024 Ford and Lincoln vehicles, and it will use an online software update to restore it in two 2023 electric vehicles.
