Hot peppers sold in Saskatchewan and Alberta are being recalled after results of tests conducted by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency indicated possible Salmonella.
The recalled product is the 50 gram container of Thai Green Peppers with the brand name Simply Hot.
The CFIA says do not consume, use, sell, serve or distribute the produts which may have been distributed in other provinces and territories.
Recalled products should be thrown out or returned to the location where they were purchased.
Food contaminated with Salmonella may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick. There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of this product.
