Around 7:20 a.m. Saturday morning, Saskatoon Police and Medavie Services were called to the 200 block of Avenue X North to reports of gun fire. They found a 35 year old man who was taken to hospital but succumbed to his injuries. Police have ruled this a homicide.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding the incident to call Saskatoon Police and ask to speak to an investigator in Major Crimes. Or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

This is the 16th homicide in Saskatoon in 2019. Investigators with Major Crimes, Target Enforcement and Forensic Identification are investigating.
