Members of the Saskatoon Police Service’s Serious Assault Unit do not believe an aggravated assault incident last Thursday evening was random in nature after arresting six individuals.
At about 11 p.m. on May 25, patrol officers responded to an assault in the 100 block of Avenue Q South and located a 41-year-old man who had just been assaulted and appeared to be disoriented. He remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries from the assault. Police determined the assault happened about three-and-a-half hours earlier at a residence in the 100 block of Avenue F South. The next day, patrol officers arrested six individuals, ranging in age between 24 and 41, at the Avenue F South residence with the Serious Assaullt Unit continuing to investigate.
