It has been whittled down to five young tech companies and tonight (Thurs) in Saskatoon, after another round of pitches, the final winner for the Startup TNT competiton will be announced. This same competition is also being held tonight in Regina, Edmonton, Calgary and Winnipeg.

Saskatchewan’s Lead for Startup TNT, Jesse Wiebe explains that they are a not-for-profit organization which brings together investors to help early-stage companies. Tonight, the finalists will give their last pitches before a final decision is made. Wiebe says, “These are the best companies in the early stage that are sort of the up and coming, the next Vendasta, the next 7Shifts.” Wiebe says the winner will receive $150,000 plus there is the potential for more.

The five new businesses presenting in Saskatoon are Bettercart Analytics, Creditgurus, Omnee, Runnr and Solusguard.
