Over 10,000 people from Saskatoon and beyond will be joining together Saturday to march in the largest parade in the city.
To wrap up a week of Pride Festival activities, Saskatoon’s annual Pride Parade will begin at 1:00pm. Participants will start the march at Spadina and 24th Street and finishing off at River Landing and Friendship Park.
Board Member at Saskatoon Pride Claire Wyant says the parade plays an important role in creating a welcoming and accessible space for everyone.
She says it is her organization’s responsibility to listen, learn, and uplift the voices of the people who are more marginalized.
After the parade, Pride in the Park will take place from 2:00pm-8:00pm at Friendship Park.
There will be multiple performers on a large mainstage, a family friendly community stage, a large beer garden, the Pride Market, and a Kids’ Fun Zone.
