Tuesday afternoon North Battleford RCMP received a report of an attempted abduction. Police say a teenage girl was walking down 110th Street near St. Laurent Drive between 3:00 and 3:30 p.m. when a man in an SUV called out and asked her if she wanted money.

The girl kept walking and about three blocks later, near the 1300 block of 110th Street, the man in the SUV reportedly tried to grab her.  She ran for help and the SUV drove away.

The suspect is described as an older male, approximately 5’6” tall with grey, balding hair and a white beard. The suspect SUV is described as a black Mazda CX5.

RCMP say if the vehicle is seen don’t approach and report it immediately.

RCMP are asking anyone with information to contact the detachment.  And any homes or businesses in the area which have video surveillance to check the footage and report any pertinent information to police.
