Saskatchewan could set a new mark for the number of homicides for the fourth straight year with the current total standing at fifteen.

There have been seven homicides in our province over the last 30 days, including three last weekend in the North Battleford, Prince Albert and Esterhazy areas.

Charges have been laid in 13 of the 15 homicides. Seventeen people—twelve adults and five youth—have been arrested and charged. The only two homicides where no one has been charged and the investigation continues is the death of Kaylee Crookedneck in North Battleford on June 16 and Dalton Linklater in Pelican Narrows on January 11.

Superintendent Joshua Graham with Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes says investigators are taxed heavily as they attempt to manage an ever increasing workload. He adds the workload greatly impacts the well-being or our investigators.
