Highway 16 open about eight hours after being shut down in the wake of a crash between a cargo van and a semi west of Plunkett.

There is no word on injuries but the update on the opening of the highway came down at 9:30 p.m. last night. Saskatoon RCMP responded to the accident around 1 o’clock and at the time Highway 16 was blocked in both directions with traffic being rerouted.

Saskatoon RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP Collision Reconstructionist. STARS, Watrous and Lanigan EMS along with Viscount Fire and Rescue were also on scene.
