If you are in Saskatoon, you can celebrate Canada Day in Victoria Park with the SaskTel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival, or further down Meewasin trail at River Landing, then across the Traffic Bridge with a lineup of food trucks and at Rotary Park.
Organizer for Canada Day Saskatoon, Shad Ali, says the celebrations are a respectful honouring of Canada’s true history.
Included in the entertainment at the amphitheatre in River Landing, is Metis and First Nations music and dance.
Rotary Park has lots of children’s games, activities and food options and the Traffic Bridge has 15 food trucks to check out.
Ali adds that it has become a favourite site for checking out the fireworks.
The night ends with entertainment from Jay Semko of the Northern Pikes at the amphitheatre followed by the fireworks around 10:30.
