The Meewasin Valley Authority has announced that Dr. Angela Bedard-Haughn will be the new Board Chair.

Dr. Bedard-Haughn was born and raised on her family farm in the central parkland region of Saskatchewan. She received both her BSC in Physical Geography and her MSc in Soil Science from the University of Saskatchewan. She attended the University of California at Davis, where she received her PhD in Soil Science and Biogeochemistry in 2004.

Andrea Lafond, CEO of Meewasin, says, “Meewasin has always been fortunate to have incredibly passionate people serve on its Board of Directors. We have been fortunate to witness insightful direction for Meewasin and its strategic priorities. We look forward to continuing our work with Angela.”

The Meewasin Board of Directors is made up of four representatives from the City of Saskatoon, four from the Province of Saskatchewan, and four from the University of Saskatchewan.
