The deadline for the STARS Home Lottery bonus draw has come and gone, however the public is being reminded that it isn’t too late to purchase a ticket for the next early bird draw.
Chief Fundraising and Brand Officer Terry Strunk says the next draw is July 7th, and the final draw will take place at the end of July. Strunk says the lottery tickets cost $60, and the 50/50 cost only $10. There are over 1600 prizes to be won, including vacations to Paris, Ireland, Mexico, and Spain, cash, vehicles, and two homes, one in Saskatoon and the other in Spruce Creek Estate outside of Regina. Although the government funds 50 per cent of what the organization requires, Strunk says STARS has to raise about $10 million a year in order to provide their services, and the lottery makes up for a third of that amount.
She adds that lottery and 50/50 tickets can be bought online at starslottery.ca.
