The verdict is in on Saskatchewan Roughrider quarterback Trevor Harris, as he sustained an injury in Saturday night’s game against the Calgary Stampeders in Regina.
A release from the Saskatchewan Roughriders says he sustained a tibial plateau fracture of his right knee. This is classified as a significant injury, and he will soon receive surgery in Regina. Midway through the fourth quarter of the game, Harris attempted to scramble for a first down but fell awkwardly during the tackle. The cart was brought out to help him off the field. The franchise is optimistic Harris will make a full recovery, and they have not ruled out a return at some point later in the season.
Moving forward, Mason Fine will be the starting quarterback for the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
