Two people were found dead in the home in Kindersley where shots were fired around 10 this morning (thurs). One person fled the home and called the police. All of the schools in that city were put under a hold and secure order and residents north of the hospital were told to stay inside and other residents to stay away.
Saskatchewan RCMP officers entered a home in the 1-thousand block of 1st Street West around 3 p.m. Thursday afternoon, where a man and woman were found dead. There was no one else in the home. Police don’t believe there is a risk to public safety related to this incident.
The hold and secure at the schools was lifted and the perimeter along Highway 21 to the north, Highway 7 to the west, south to the Kindersley Hospital and east to Main Street has re-opened. The perimeter around the home continues to be secured for further investigation.
The Saskatchewan RCMP thank residents for their patience and cooperation.
