A three-year, major infrastructure project that will expand Regina’s water network to accommodate future growth throughout the city began this week.
The project involves the construction of a new water pumping station with a solar system for renewable energy generation, two new water storage reservoirs and an 8.4 km water supply main.
Construction will be done in phases and will start with the water pumping station and reservoirs at 2605 Redbear Avenue East.
Traffic restrictions along Ring Road are not anticipated with this project until the 2024 construction season. In August the City of Regina will begin with removing trees.
